Hmm.  About Me…

I’m a 30’s-something author who is 5’10” and likes girly things like hot pink nail-polish, flowers and high heels.

Random fun facts about me:

  1. I collect dashboard hula-girls.
  2. I like to have my car stereo volume set at an even number.
  3. I can barely remember my natural hair color.
  4. I am terrified of buoys and birds.
  5. I love cemetery angels. Is that weird?

My favorite books as a kid were…. “A Little Princess” by Francis Hodgson Burnett and “Charlotte’s Web” by E.B. White.   And then I got into the Trixie Belden series, even though they were already pretty dated even then.  But so what?  A good book is timeless.

I grew up in rural Kansas, so yes, I am a corn-fed Kansas girl.  My husband calls me his “Sunflower” because that sounds so much better.  (You can see references of that in Dante’s Girl– Dante calls Reece his Sunflower.  Awww!)   I live in Indiana now- the actual land of corn, I think- near Lake Michigan and Chicago.   I have two sons and a daughter; and two dogs and two cats.  I only like one of my cats, but I do like all of my kids.  Haha.

I was a big Trixie Belden fan for the longest time. I even wrote fanfics, that spawned a whole new MC, who I ended up writing stories about, which eventually got me started writing books. So, I guess you could say Trixie has had a big impact on my life ^^

I just found this blog today, and I think I’m going to enjoy it. Your book cover is gorgeous, by the way.

Yay! Another Trixie Belden fan. I LOVED those books. 🙂 And thank you for the compliment. I think I’m a little in love with my cover myself. 🙂

I read all the Trixie Belden books, in the 70s, and was a member of the fan club.. Waited to get the new stuff in the mail. Hard to find the books anymore, but I know my daughter would love them…. Good mysteries for pre-teens.
