Bring Pax Home contest and a little thing called the NYT.

21 Feb

I have two super exciting things to announce today.

The first thing involves a tiny little thing called the New York Times Bestseller’s List.   I found out last night that I MADE THIS LIST!!  OMGOSH!!  I think I’m still in shock, to be honest.  When I first found out, I simply sat and stared at it for awhile.   (I may have lovingly stroked my computer screen, too….)   But seeing my name at #9 was so gorgeous that I think I will frame it and hang it in my office.

Thank you so much for putting me there!!  It is the readers (you!!) who have bought and loved If You Stay that made this happen.  And I will be infinitely grateful to you.  You just have no idea how very thankful.  (Trust me, it’s VERY thankful!)

And making this list (It’s the NYT, OMG!!!) has made me way too antsy to write– I just can’t focus today.  So I was shopping online and found something that inspired an idea for a contest.  Because I’ve been having so much fun with contests lately!  I know… I’ve been getting a bit carried away with them- I can’t help it.  Once I figured out how to work Rafflecopter, I haven’t been able to stop!!  LOL.   But this will be the last one for awhile.  🙂

This contest will be the Bring Pax Home contest.  As in, bring him home to the top three on Amazon.  🙂   If You Stay is hovering at number 6 right now.  And Pax would really like to be in the top three.  He’s competitive like that.  If we can bring him home to the top three, then one lucky winner can bring a little piece of Pax home with her.   How?    Check out this necklace:

Milas necklace

This necklace is going to be customized (It will not say Drew and Bethany on it!).  I’m going to have LOVE inscribed on the top disk and NEVER FAILS inscribed on the bottom.  I’m ordering one for a winner and one for me.  That little dangling thing is a freshwater pearl.   The reason this necklace is significant is because because Pax gives an identical one to Mila as a gift.  The reason you don’t know this is because he gives it to her on their wedding night.  And the reason you don’t know that is because I didn’t include that in the book.

However… if IF YOU STAY reaches the top three on Amazon, I will release that added scene right here on my blog.   And yes… I realize what the competition is… the top three right now are Save Haven (Nicolas Sparks), Beautiful Creatures (Kami Garcia) and Alex Cross, Run.  (James Patterson).  So, yeah.  I know that is some seriously stiff competition.   But I think we can do it.

So this is really a two part contest.  In the first part, you can enter on Rafflecopter by doing several things:

  • Tweeting this:  See how sexy bad-boy Pax learns that Love Never Fails, in If You Stay by @court_writes. Pls RT.
  • Sharing this blog post via Facebook
  • Liking my Courtney Cole, Author page
  • Following me on Twitter

The prize for this first part, will be a necklace just like Mila’s.  I will draw a winner through Rafflectoper on February 28th– in one week from today. It is open to the US and Canada.   You can enter on Rafflecopter HERE.    And if IF YOU STAY reaches the top 3 on Amazon, I will release the bonus scene from their wedding night.  It is both sexy and sweet, and it is from Pax’s point of view.

So… please help me Bring Pax Home.  🙂   Pax does so enjoy the view from the top.  Haha.

I’ll leave you today with this.  Just because I like it.  🙂

make today ridiculously amazing
